SUNY Upstate Medical University, Division of Student Affairs presents:

“Try on a White Coat at Upstate: A Health Career Immersion Institute”

May 31st– June 5th, 2015

Cost is FREE!

(Includes Housing and Meals)

To apply for this program students should be:

ü A current freshman or sophomore year student at a SUNY school

ü On a pre-health track

ü From an underrepresented or economically disadvantaged population

ü At least 18 years of age

This program includes:

  • Opportunities to explore different careers in the health field
  • Opportunities to interact with current students and faculty at SUNY Upstate
  • An overview on the Admissions process including tips on how to make you a competitive candidate when interviewing
  • Service and community outreach initiatives in the Syracuse area
  • Tips for academic success that include: study skills, test and note taking strategies, and time management skills
  • Hands on activities and simulations
  • Teambuilding and networking opportunities (including a trip to WonderWorks ropes course)
