MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

Due to Enterprise’s rapid and successful growth, the New York Group has many entry-level Management Trainee opportunities.  You’ll learn to run a business, hire and manage your own team and gain business training that helps you succeed anywhere.  Enterprise promotes from within, so our trainee program is the fast track to a great management career.  Trainees typically receive one or more promotions within their first year and many double their salaries upon becoming branch managers.  Branch manager perks also include salaried pay, commissions and company car privileges.  Our promote-from-within policy also facilitates growth in other departments, such as Car Sales, Fleet Services, Loss Control, Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing and Accounting.

 

 

Below is a limited example of some typical responsibilities of a Management Trainee:

Sales/Marketing

  • Market Enterprise services to insurance companies, auto dealerships, body shops, hotels, businesses and other related industries.
  • Sell Enterprise services and products to customers.
  • Assist in planning marketing/sales efforts to increase business and income.
  • Various tasks and projects as needed.
  • Daily customer interaction.
  • Taking reservations by phone.
  • Driving duties as needed to pick up customers and deliver cars.
  • Vehicle preparation.
  • Going above and beyond customers’ expectations at every point of contact.
  • Monitoring daily cash flow.
  • Contact insurance companies for daily authorization and extension of rental billings.
  • Assist in training of new employees.
  • Collections of assigned accounts receivables.
  • Manage and monitor vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist in planning rental fleet growth.

       Customer Service

Skills Training:

Training begins with two days observing at a rental branch.  From there you will spend four days at our corporate classroom-training center learning the basics of the business.  Immediately after, you begin a structured nine-month hands-on training program.  During this time you will attend regional training classes including:  customer service, outside and inside sales, phone skills, and underwriting.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in our mentor programs, take part in our Diversity Focus/Work-Life Balance Groups, and participate in our Multi-Cultural Leadership training.  In addition, throughout your training, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk to local Department Managers including but not limited to; Human Resources, Operations, Corporate Marketing, Loss Control, Business Management, and Vehicle Repair.  After successful completion of training and exams demonstrating your abilities you can move up to management and earn full autonomy in running a business and managing people.  A base salary is then augmented by a percentage of the office’s profits, making an employee’s earning potential unlimited at the management level.

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, communication and leadership skills, and a desire to succeed and grow within a busy multi-task environment. Any experience in sales, marketing, management, retail, or customer service is a plus.  A professional image and good driving record is a must.
