Be sure to check out the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) website for a host of resources including videos, frequently asked questions, as well as YouTube tutorials, and updates and answering queries via their Facebook and Twitter pages. AMCAS is a centralized application processing service that is only available to applicants to the first-year entering classes at participating U.S. medical schools. Most medical schools use AMCAS as the primary application method. Advanced standing and transfer applicants should contact the medical schools directly for assistance.
AMCAS will begin sending applicant data, including verified applications, to medical schools on June 28.
If you are interested in applying to Medical School, please refer to the University at Albany’s pre-health website about how to request to have your committee evaluation and letter packets sent to AMCAS. You must pay for Virtual Evaluation through Student Accounts before we can upload your letters to AMCAS. Make sure to read all directions carefully.
