Case Manager Position Available for U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Case Manager

SALARY: Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package.

STATUS: Exempt, Full Time U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a nongovernmental, not-for-profit national organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants, seeks a Case Manager for its Albany field office. This field office operates as a refugee resettlement program and employment program for refugees and asylees and victims of human trafficking, as well as offering immigration counseling, interpretation/translation services, community education programs and legal services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position of Case Manager is responsible for arranging housing, healthcare, social services, service providers and interpretation for refugees and Immigrants. Additionally, a Case Manager has the responsibility for maintaining case files, submitting written reports as required, providing cross-cultural information, orienting refugee and immigrant families to their new community, and ensuring a smooth process of resettlement.

REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent interpersonal skills, good organization skills and attention to detail required; must be a team player. Bilingual English and Arabic, Burmese, Karen and/or Nepali preferred. The candidate must have a valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and personal transportation. Prior experience with social services provision, employment services or refugee resettlement is preferred and the candidate must have a dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people.
