Assistant/Associate Professor SUNY Cortland Communication Disorders and Sciences Departmentt

The department invites applications for a full-time 10 month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant, or with special circumstances, at the Associate Professor level as appropriate to experience. Appointment will begin August 2013.


Responsibilities include teaching in area of expertise, research, supervision, advisement, and service.


Ph.D. in speech-language pathology/communication disorders or related field. ABD with work initiated on dissertation will be considered. ASHA, Certificate of Clinical Competence.


Eligibility for NYS licensure.  Applicants with expertise in the areas of dysphagia, augmentative-alternative communication, autism, and phonology are encouraged to apply, but all areas of expertise will be considered. Multiple areas of expertise are preferred.


Communication Disorders and Sciences is home to over 244 students and offers a well equipped computer lab and audiology suite. Faculty are engaged in research and other scholarly activities at the local, state and national levels. Mentoring in the development of a funded research agenda is also provided.
